Light duty twisted restraint straps (2.5mm thickness) are for vertical loads such as wall plates on top of masonry walls. Heavy duty twisted Straps (5.0mm thickness) are a horizontal restraint strap you can use when jointing timber floors and roofs to brick or masonry walls. This strap is ideal for laterally restraining new roof trusses, joists and rafters tied into existing masonry walls.
